Welcome to the Wossler Group website

 

This research group is situated on Stellenbosch University campus in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The overall focus of our research is animal communication, in particular the evolution of signals - whether they be olfactory, acoustic or visual. The lab consists of a diverse  group of researchers studying a wide range of organisms including wasps, invasive and native ants, great white sharks and European starlings. Current and previous research projects also include topics such as honey bee diseases, honey production and investigating parasite loads associated with stress in lions and penguins.
