On 26 September one of our lab members, Kerry Moss, and the love of her life, Gary Wood, got married! We are very excited for them and we know that they will carry the joy of this happy day close to their hearts as they journey the road of life together.

ESSA Conference - July 2015
Some of the lab members recently attended the ESSA-ZSSA conference in Grahamstown where Theresa, Hans, Luisa, Gary, Rashawe and Natasha presented their research. Well done to all of them, their talks were really great! After (almost) everyone presented on the first day of the conference, the rest of the week proved to be a fun time indeed (see the Gallery page for pictures) and the conference sessions were very interesting too.
Spice Route lab outing - April 2016
Our Christmas lunch finally happened - better late than never! We had a fun day filled with delicious pizza, beer, wine, coffee and good company at Spice Route. SACEMA Conference - April 2016
The South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis conference took place at STIAS in Stellenbosch this year. Theresa, David and Natasha attended and Tash was also a keynote speaker. Well done Tash, your talk was very inspirational and I'm sure it motivated many young scientists in the audience to perservere and reach for their dreams.
Gas Chromatography Workshop - May 2016
One of the key pieces of equipment in the Wossler Lab is our GC machine which mostly gets used to analyse the cuticular hydrocarbons of social insects. But what should you do when you encounter problems with the machine or GC software? We were fortunate to have Mr Hermann Habedank come to the lab to present an in-depth and hands-on workshop where we literally got to know our GC machine inside and out. Thanks for the training and useful troubleshooting tips, Harry!
Trumpet Tree lab outing - April 2017
In keeping with Wossler Lab tradition, we combined our somewhat belated Christmas lunch with our April birthday celebrations. Happy birthday Theresa, Natasha and David! This pizza and beer get-together was held at The Trumpet Tree in Stellenbosch and was also a nice way to get to know some of the new lab members.
