Ben has been passionate about wildlife and conservation from a young age. This passion resulted in him pursuing a BSc and BSc (Hons.) degree in Biodiversity and Ecology at Stellenbosch University from where he graduated cum laude in 2014. He furthered his studies with a MSc Degree in Zoology in which he investigated the role of rodents in dispersal and consumption of the seeds of Willdenowia incurvata (Restionacea) under supervision of Prof. Bruce Anderson and Prof. Theresa Wossler. Ben completed this project and graduated from Stellenbosch University in December 2016.
